A brief history of Armthorpe
Armthorpe is considered to be one of the more affluent areas of Doncaster. Although it is classed as a village, it is home to over 14000 people according to the 2011 Census.
It is particularly known for its coal mining history, the local pit, which was named Markham Main, was responsible for the rise in population in Armthorpe before it closed in 1996. A housing estate now sits on the former colliery site.
Armthorpe now boasts an array of shops, restaurants and amenities that provide the local population with plenty of things to do.
I am proud to be able to offer my services of web design in Armthorpe to local businesses and those in surrounding areas.
