Print Ad Design Brief:
The Eagle & Child is a popular local pub in the picturesque village of Auckley, on the outskirts of Doncaster. The client wanted an A5 print ad design to appear in a local magazine. They already had an existing advertisement that they had used for the past couple of years but wanted to change it for something that was more up to date and fresh.
The Print Ad Design Solution
The Eagle & Child facebook page has received lots of page likes and the posts with the highest engagement were their cheesecake and dessert photographs. With this in mind, I designed one of the print advertisements to feature a photograph of a mouthwatering cheesecake.
This would ensure that the advertisement would get noticed while potential customers were flicking through the local magazine.
The vibrant cheesecake image would attract attention and stand out from the rest of the print ads on the page, creating a professional first impression. The rest of the advertisement was designed with the brand colours in mind.
The pub won the esteemed title of ‘The Best Pub in Doncaster’ voted for by its customers in a competition hosted by the local radio station, Trax FM. This needed to go on the print ad to show potential customers that the Eagle and Child was a great place to visit as many people had already vouched for that.
A QR code was added and so that when it was scanned with a smartphone, it would take customers to a landing page with links to the website and social media pages so they could find the pub online and access more information.
